Would definitely like to see this one! There are a lot of stores out there that have a lot of categories that stay empty for long periods of times. It would be nice to hide/unhide these when needed instead of heaving to delete the entire thing and make a new one when we had more items to list in that category.

I'm disappointed to see this. I realize that buyers can move items from Pending by placing the order. Often, customers click BIN and then pay through other means - mostly through a direct invoice for a variety of reasons (combined shipping with other orders, adding on to a custom order, local pick-up, etc. etc) After the customer has paid, it's quite unprofessional to ask them to go to their HC purchases and jump through some hoops so that I can have an actual history of their order on HC. A simple click should be able to transfer that Pending order over to my Order History.

To further expand this request and make it really functional, could you please add that option to the drop down menu when sorting the orders as well as the batch functions (like where I can check 15 orders and mark them all shipped - can I also mark them all in process?). Thank you!!

Sorry, clarification, because I realized what I said may be confusing! Basically, I have items in which the customer must choose 6 different scents to go in their product. I can see the first three of their choices in the "view order" screen, but I cannot see the last three. I've checked the emails I get and any other record of the order, but those last three just don't come up! I have to email the customer to get the information. :)

That's fine when it is my own store but I have MY stores name in the tags on the congos I belong to. It is all run together and VERY annoying.

you can select "all" on the top right side to see them all on one page. I had the same problem until someone told me this :)

Past, new, current fixed. Congos I can go to view/edit item (old)and have the old way come up which is much faster. Don't have the view/edit item (old) choice on my admin Healing Gems. And what's going on down in tags...the Congo's name keep's coming up even though I erased it over and over. I am Healing Gems and I don't want the congos name in my tags. I just don't have the time to waste on these listings that take longer to list than before. My wish is for everything to just go back like it was. Peace, Darice

The all listings tab would be nice if it would stay there when I'm adding items. I always copy my templates and then go in and fix each seperate one for my current stocking. I am currently having to copy a template in the all items tab, then after I click copy, it takes me back to the current listings tab, of which I have none. Its just another click that is irritating and time consuming.

Is there any way we can stop orders from coming through with no customer info? I get them often and there should at least be a email address that we can invoice. My listings are set as buy it now and it makes no difference at all. I even had one that had comments from the customer about how nice my stuff is but no info at all and she of course she did not pay.

I think that an order shouldn't be able to be completed without entering payment information and/or contact information - if they choose not to register it with the site, that's fine, they can still be a "guest" and not have an account.

I definitely agree about being able to identify a repeat customer. I like to tailor my responses to those people and I can't remember (or search for) every customer when they order.

I absolutely love the suggestion of adding listing templates. I have a lot of similar items, so copying is something I do... the end result isn't always pretty though, and ends up being reformatted. /sigh

If not Batch edit, then at least save the settings so that if I am in July 2011 then when I click back it should go back to July 2011 rather than the current month.

It'd be nice to be able to quickly see if a customer is a repeat customer or just easier sorting of past orders overall. Right now orders placed on the 31st of a month are often on the page for the month they were ordered as well as on the next month's orders.

I currently have "additional hosting" elsewhere to overcome the insufficient number of info pages I can have, but I DO agree this would be wonderful to have more extra pages built right in. Despite the html knowledge required on info pages here to neatly set up my information- it is still far less work than coding an ENTIRE page to fit with my shop here! I would love to see this if it is possible! Not to say I expect an unlimited number of extra pages, but more than what is currently available would be wonderful!

I SO agree with the first poster (being able to move items between single stores and multiple congos)!! I have my own cart and stock 4 different congos each month so that would save me SO much time, and headache!! Please Please Please consider offering this!!

Would love to be able to login with 1 username/password, and be able to access everything- and be able to transfer listings between my main cart and my congos.

I would prefer at least if the amount available wasn't shown until the customer clicked on the actual item description/page. I don't think it's necessary to show how many are available till they're ready to add it/them to their cart. It's just more information cluttering the pages. Likewise, in the categories view, I'd like to see the number of listings per category removed/optional. Either I'm interested in what the seller has in the line of hair-care or not. It shouldn't matter if I've got 3 or 30 items there. I'm generally in favor of a less is more approach in design, and one of the things that I think makes HC look ugly, is that there is so much text lying around that doesn't need to be there.

This would be great! As it is now I kind of average the cost of shipping, sometimes I come out ahead but more often I lose money. I would like to add: I'd really like it not to default to the cheapest shipping option for the buyer. I had to stop offering first class because international shoppers always choose it. It seems like an option for them, because HC always defaults to the cheapest option available, instead of making you pick one from the drop down with no default, which I think would help.

Although you *can* put it when you check out with Paypal I've had countless times (as a seller) when the buyer still got confused with shipping (even with the shipping shown in the listing). Having it integrated in HC would be more seamless and if it were doing the check out process there wouldn't be the "oh, now I have to pay shipping?" question that I've had customers experience when reaching the payment page.

Yes, I very often have international customers accidentally choosing first class US shipping. It is time consuming and seems unprofessional to have to contact them and then charge them more. Most often I will cover the difference and just pay it myself and that really adds up!

It would be nice if it was something along the lines of Dharma Trading Co, where you enter the zip/country and it shows you all the shipping options/costs.

at the very least I'd like to see the correct shipping country mandated for where the shopper is registered. I have US shoppers choosing shipping to Canada at least a couple of times a week because it is the cheaper option so it defaults to it. Invoicing after the fact for $1.30 seems petty but it adds up to $135 a year I am missing out on because of this. Etsy automatically chooses the correct shipping cost for you.

I agree with Comment #1... while I would appreciate a feature like this, even if it was in any way a manual thing, I would prefer to be able to select when a notice like this was sent for basically the same reason already mentioned. I would hate to see this oddly sent when (per my policy or custom listing) my customer has not yet received their item and are already being asked for feedback.

I do agree that this would be a good change, however, perhaps it would be helpful if someone could tell us how to ensure our images are high quality. I know that my pictures look fine in my store (not blurry or grainy), but when I see them in the "favorites/spots" area, they all look like crud. I've wondered why that is and what I can do to fix it, but wasn't sure who to ask.

I had to go read the policies on etsy on this one. Every vendor/seller has the right to purchase the featured shop/showcase picture (whatever they call it on etsy)the picture just has to meet certain standards, if it doesn't meet these standards then etsy removes the picture and you are out your money. This can also happen if someone flags or reports your picture.

Oh gosh, PLEASE yes! I've gotten quite a few comments from people on FB saying they have no interest in registering for yet another account so they won't buy from HC. I think it would be great!

I see lots of sites that let a new customer register during their initial checkout process- like when you go to checkout, you either put in your username and password, or you click "New Customer" where you input all your information, and set up a password, and it then continues the checkout process as usual.

Agree with the other person's comment...we need to make sure we have some security with those who are buying our items, but if the shopper needs to wait to be "approved", etc., they may lose out on a buy and not want to return to buy something later.

I loved the ease of use, and the pic quality, but I couldn't get the pics to upload in the right order. Like, I uploaded all four pics at once, but they showed up in my store in messed-up order from how I chose them. Went back and tried again, same thing.

It seems the most recent versions of java are not working with the java uploader. This should be fixed within the next few weeks! Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have tried the HC image uploader and the picture quality was HORRIBLE compared to photo bucket. I will not be using it again until I know it is fixed.

With all the changes, I'm unable to list new items...I've been trying all day and also opened a ticket. HELP!

I agree that the site could use some freshening up, but I don't exactly agree with a name change. I fear changing the name is website suicide in terms of rankings and all of that that HC has built up over the years already. I don't think there is anything wrong with the name, would just like to see a new look and feel to the graphics, layout, and color scheme.
