Changed the “are you a human” task

OK – initial feedback was that the task was too complicated and didn’t always seem to work. So we’ve changed it to a much simple task. Shoppers will be shown a random five-letter word and asked to type it in before purchasing.

Can everyone take another look and give feedback again?

Buy Now listing

Hold listing

Thanks!

  1. I hit BUY and it says the item has been added to my cart. I missed the previous post so I’m not sure what exact info you needed!

  2. the hold listing works. the buy now listing allows me to cart the item without entering the text. oh…..and the text it prompted me to type??? f*cks:-P
yes, that was the 5 letter word i was supposed to type in! some users may not find that humorous:-)

  3. Hi Charlene — really? That’s odd. Can you add the Buy Now item anytime without entering the word?

I took that word out — sorry! I’m trying to remove offensive words as I see them, but it’s a long list of words!

  4. I attempted to add both listings to my cart WITHOUT entering the word, and got a very polite error message each time. I was able to easily add the items to my cart after entering the word.

  5. I tried both of them out and they worked just fine! Maybe add something in the text to let buyers know why they’re entering a word? Other than that it looks great. 🙂

  6. Is it possible to simply have a check box of some sort? I think typing words in is going to turn some people off. We finally made it easier for people to shop by not having to go through the whole registration process. To me, this seems like a step backwards in trying to make the shopping experience simple and straight forward.
