These are as close to barefoot as you can be, but the benefit of some protection from scrapes and dirt. These are so comfortable, they're like a pair of leather socks. If you're curious about this type of a moccasin a try, this is a really affordable way to try it out.
Unlike other industrial minimalist footwear with rubber soles, moccasins with soft leather soles are the only natural shoes that keep you grounded. They are like a second skin. In other words, while wearing them, you’ll have the feeling of walking in socks but with a strong leather that fully protect your feet and allows you to move and walk in a natural manner.
This was my first pair of mocs and here's what you should know:
I'm a size 7, with a 9 1/4" inch foot and 8 1/2" inch instep. If you're close to my foot twin, these should work for you. If your feet are a little smaller, you could wear them with socks. If your feet are a little bit bigger, you can get them wet, and then wear them until the stretch out.
I wore these a handful of times and you can see the wear on the bottoms of the soles.
