A little about Homestead Emporium.
We are a family run business with Pieternella at the heart of it all. I love designing new products for the family. Our Homestead Emporium Reusable Pads (H.E.R.Pads) and reusable luxury cloth items are the main product line you'll find here. We are continually working to find new ways to help make our homes and lives more eco friendly, and better for our health. Reusable cloth products are a great alternative for the health & wellness of the whole family!
Our family resides on a small homestead in the rural prairies of Canada. A dream of ours for many years and it's finally become our reality. If you'd like to read more about our adventures from West Coast city, to rural prairies, we share more on our blog: http://homesteademporiumblog.com/
When you purchase products from Homestead Emporium, you can feel good knowing you are helping to support one family's desire to live and grow a healthy rural home based lifestyle.
For this, we truly thank you!
Returns and exchange details
If you have a problem with one of our products, please email us at HomesteadEmporium [!at] gmail.com . We will not be aware of the problem unless you, our customer, tells us about it.
We fix our snaps, however, you will need to ship your Homestead Emporium product back to us (email us first though!) and we will remove any defective snaps, replace them with new ones, and ship it back to you. You pay shipping to us, we pay the shipping back to you.
We offer many styles and sizes, because so many women have different needs. This can also cause some confusion as to what's best for you though. We are here to help you try and decide which products will work best for YOU and your personal cycle.
We recommend that you buy a couple of the pad sizes/styles that you feel will work best for you, and then try them first! If you are unsure, don't invest in a large quantity of pads until speaking with us first, or trying a few sizes/styles out.
Due to the nature of most of our products, exchanges can only be made for items that are unused, unwashed, and remain in the original packaging. Returned products must be received by us before a new item will be shipped out. Trying out a few, or a sample package, will help you decide if it's the right choice, before you purchase a whole set. We try to keep sample packages and single pads in stock fairly regularly to give you an opportunity to try them out first.
Payment
Homestead Emporium accepts payments via paypal, credit cards & etsy gift cards via direct checkout in our etsy shop.
If you are in Canada, we can accept email money transfers as well, contact me to make payment arrangements.
Shipping
All orders are shipped from the rural prairies of Canada within approx. 4-6 business days using airmail for all orders to the US and International and Canada post for orders within Canada unless expedited is available and within the shipping cost charged. Orders within Canada and to the USA should be expected to arrive within 3-6 weeks. International orders, please expect up to 4-8 weeks.
We ALWAYS do our very best to ship packages as soon as possible, however, the reality of the busyness and rural lifestyle we live makes it impossible to be super fast. Family, farm animals, and mishaps of homesteading along with having to drive to the nearest post office to drop off and pick up all mail, can get in the way and cause things to run off course.
We WILL always try our very best though!
Of that, you have our word!
Additional policies and FAQs
Here at Homestead Emporium, each item is individually crafted in our home. Flawless perfection can only be achieved on an assembly line, and is not my intention. Minor variations to products are to be expected on home sewn items. These minor imperfections and variations reinforce the fact that every article is made lovingly by hand and is indeed unique.
We strive for beauty, yet function in all our products. If you have a problem with one of our items, please contact me. When you purchase from Homestead Emporium, please keep in mind that you are purchasing from a family, not a large mass producing corporation. We always strive to do our very best and provide you with great quality. We are human though, not machines, and occasionally make a mistake. I am always willing to discuss issues with my customers. :)
