About Us
Welcome to Splendor!
We are Laura and George, a husband and wife team who found the love of dyeing and spinning beautiful fiber into yummy yarn.
We live in beautiful Southwest Washington State, where we are raising our 4 children,
Cody, Madeleine, Katherine, and Quin.
About Laura:
I spent 8 years in the Navy, as a dental assistant. When I got out of the Navy in 2005, I went back to school and received my degree in Business Management. During my time in school, I was blessed with Katherine and Quin, and felt the desire to stay home with my children (something I was not able to do with Cody and Madeleine). I truly enjoy being a stay-at-home mom, but look forward to dyeing, spinning, and knitting to relax and unwind at the end of my day!
About George:
George retired from the Navy after 23 years as a dentist. He has his degree in dentistry, but his true passions are gardening, golfing, fishing, and art. He found the love of spinning after I began knitting for our children. Not a day goes by that he cannot be found dyeing and spinning up some fiber.
