When I had not received the item by December 10, I asked for an update. (I had contacted the WAHM once before this to ask if the item had shipped, at that point it had not). The WAHM replied that the item had shipped a couple of weeks previously and would check the tracking info. I thanked her and politely asked for the tracking number so I could enquire at my local post office. She then told me the number was not working, but never gave the number to me. However, she said she would send another necklace in the mail to me that day so it was no big deal.
A few days later another necklace was indeed shipped out - unlike the first time, I recieved notification from Paypal shipping and a tracking number. I had paid for Priority shipping, and it was only shipped first class, but again, I did not make a big deal of it since it was a replacement item (although I never had proof the first one was ever sent).
On December 24 - my order was November 9 - I recieved a necklace. But not the one I ordered. This one was a different colour and was significantly cheaper than the one I ordered, I think by $5-$7, although I can no longer check this on the listing. I sent the WAHM an email that was polite, but did express my frustration at waiting 7 weeks for an incorrect item, and asked to be able to return this incorrect item for a refund, mentioning I would have this back in the mail to her the next shipping day (Dec 26). She sent me back a reply that questioned my honesty, mocked my concern for my daughter's teething pain, and attacked another HC WAHM that sells the same products as her, even though this seller, nor any other, had ever been mentioned in our correspondence. I thought this was a rather bad response to a customer simply wishing to return an incorrect, and cheaper, item for a refund. And if the WAHM had ever provided me with a tracking number for the first necklace I would not have requested the refund. | | Product review: | The necklace I received, albeit not the one I ordered, seems like a perfectly nice necklace. | | 2008-12-26 03:02:17 | | Buyer resolution: | Vendor has apologised and offered to refund the difference in cost between the 2 necklaces.
I should also clarify that she never named the other seller, just made critical reference to "another vendor on HC". I think I knew who she meant from this, but accidentally implied in my original feedback that the seller was named, and this was not the case. | | 2008-12-27 03:10:32 |
