"I have been dedicated to this art form since I was 28 years old. In time I united my skills and labour. Little by little, I learned to design and weave a bit. I realised that this craft won me over, offering me tremendous gratification. Now I consider it a way of life, dedicating myself full-time.”

"I have designed many kinds of beautiful baskets, handbags, bins, etc. My tools consist of pencil, compass, protractor, ruler, sketch pens, sheets and idea.”

"I follow a meticulous process, carefully give shape to the baskets keeping in mind that the designs should be innovative as well as catchy. The length, breadth and height must synchronise with each other and the outcome should be balanced. Several designs are made and rejected at the same time. This whole process demands incredible patience and attention to detail.”

I find several links with my work in the rural areas and thus final designs come on paper. This is the reason I frequently visit the villages all over the country and especially the tribal regions.
