Carrier is beautiful and impeccably made! I decided on a Kanga because of its reputation as a wrapper's SSC, and I'm not disappointed. While I'll always prefer wraps to other carrier types, this is the most comfortable SSC I've tried.

This is our first Kanga. We currently own several Kinderpacks. I ended up getting the XL cinch to petite for this Kanga XT. It is a perfect fit for us. I am 185lb 5'4" and wear a 16 pant and 1-2x top. My son is 24lbs and 32" I like the waist the best, it feels like there is nothing there. The strap adjustment is a bit of a learning curve like the KP. We are very happy with this carrier. My husband loves it too and has taken it over at a size 36pant and 2x shirt.

The listing said the carrier would ship the next business day, which it did. However, there was absolutely no communication that it shipped. There was no "thank you for your purchase, here is your delivery confirmation number" message. I had to message the seller to ask if my carrier had shipped. She did promptly respond that the carrier was sent out the next business day, but the customer service felt lacking. An email after the sale would have done wonders, and I wouldn't have been left wondering if my order was received or shipped. I DID receive the carrier promptly though.

Oh gosh. The carrier is lovely, and it's comfortable. I waited almost 2 months before I was able to snag an XTP off of the cart, but I'm not 100% happy with it.
The applique was fraying directly out of the package. I had to fray check it (and I did NOT pull on it at all). I was also disappointed to find out that the carrier was NOT machine washable because it was appliqued. There are no indications on the site (nor could I find washing instructions) that would have led me to believe it could only be hand/spot washed. I would have chosen a different carrier/brand had I known this (the washing instructions were in the package).
The waist band is an issue. I am a size 18/20. I made sure to check prior to purchasing that it would fit me. The FAQ states "The standard size will fit a waist of 24" to 56"." My waist is nowhere near 56", so I thought I would have no issues at all. I thought I would have the option to use the buckle OR tie the waist, since the wearing instructions on the website state "The buckles may be easily removed if you prefer a tied waist."
Not so much. The waist band only measures 58" long total (and this carrier is supposed to fit up to a 56" waist). There is nowhere near enough waist band for me to tie it, leaving the buckle the only option. That was a big disappointment.
Finally, there were chalk marks on the backside of the carrier (at the waist line). It may be knit-picky to mention it, but for a $210 carrier that isn't washable, I would have at least expected the sewing chalk marks to be removed prior to shipping.
Overall, I'm not really sure how to feel about it. I'm just glad that it is comfortable, which is the carrier's saving grace.

Side Extensions
Unlike other carriers which use seat pleats and darts to widen the carrier, the Kanga uses padded side extensions which allow all children to sit comfortably. As a larger child will fill up more of the seat, pulling the extensions underneath their legs. This increases the width of the carrier as they get older. Because the back of the carrier is flat, your child's weight is on your hips, not your back.
