Hi, I'm Angela of Calliope Handspun. I love spinning yarn. Love it! I love seeing the colors come together and love creating something beautiful. I have always had a drive to create and to be, well, an artist. Yet it turns out, the imaginative part of art isn't really where my talents lie. But the mechanical part is which is why I have been so thrilled to have found knitting and spinning.
I have two lovely daughters, Ana Sofia who is 5 and a half, and Calliope is 2. My business is named after Calliope since she's the one I CD'd and the reason I became obsessed with wool, yarn, and knitting. My screen name persona on pretty much everywhere I dwell online is named after Ana Sofia; momofana = mom-of-ana. My husband Eric and I are living in Southern California raising our girls in the healthiest way we know how with lots of music and great food, and little in the way of chemicals and batteries. We love handmade and are so glad you do too.
