Thornbush Pens and Pianissimo Cloth are family businesses owned and operated by Leonard and Elizabeth Smith in lovely Waterloo, Ontario. A passion for woodworking and a passion for sewing and crafting have grown into small businesses, enabling Elizabeth to stay home with their young son, Blake.

A bit about the pens:
No trees were harvested for the purpose of making these pens. In many instances we use the prunes of young trees, sprouts from the trunks of old trees, or already milled lumber. At Thornbush Pens we try to minimize our impact on the environment by using many materials that are renewable resources. We also make pens and gifts from a variety of materials other than wood, such as acrylic, deer antler, and recycled newsprint. Each and every one of our handturned items are crafted to be of the highest quality so that they will last more than a lifetime!
