This is a bit about the WAHMs behind Selah! About Lisa... My name is Lisa, and I am one of the 2 WAHMs behind Selah. I first started dyeing with tie-dyes and Batik. Once our 2nd child was due, I started up again, this time with wool. I started spinning on a drop spindle around the same time, and then nearly a year later my sweet husband bought me my first wheel, which I love! Spinning is such a joy, and has become another creative outlet for me. It makes me happy to share what I have done. I hope that whatever you end up with that I have spun, knit or dyed makes you feel like making something beautiful.

About my home life- I just celebrated my 6th anniversary with my best friend and man of my dreams. I am a sahm to 2 little boys. Elias is age 3 and Hayden is 1.5 and and expecting a new baby in late Nov!! They charge and drain me everyday! I am a Natural Family Liver, passionate for Natural childbirth and an ICAN supporter. I love to knit (of course), sew, cook, grow things and of course, create!

About Julie...

I’m the other WAHM behind Selah and am the WAHM behind Selah on Diva Designs. During my last pregnancy I finally accomplished a life-hope and learned to knit – that blossomed into an obsession with beautiful yarn and all the colors that you could create! Soon I was dyeing my own and it has progressed from there. Color has always inspired me and the feel that I get with different color combinations can sometimes actually move me… it can be healing, inspiring, peaceful or joyful. It is my hope that that also comes to you with your yarn.

My family consists of three wonderful and active little boys and my husband and best friend of 6 years. We are both self employed and have big dreams. Family is very important to us and we value our unique little ones dearly. Among other things, I am a doula, local ICAN leader and birth activist on many levels. One day it’s my dream to become a midwife. In the meantime I am Momma, hug-giver, owie-kisser and all around helper.
