Once upon a time in Hauge of the Netherlands, there was a quaint little village called Madurodam. Multi-colored cobblestones paved the way through the winding village streets, which were lined with beautiful flowers and captivating stores with hand carved doors and window shutters. The village bakery was filled with the warm inviting smell of baked vanilla and pumpkin pie along with sugar cookies and chocolate crisps. Shoppers would find themselves lulled into a state of perfect bliss. Each store had specialty items, each the finest in the land. In fact, it is said that gnomes and fairy’s created every special item, by hand and dusted all with “magic dust”. Once touched by “magic dust”, all treasures became irresistible, and the handcrafted soaps became the most luxurious silk to the skin. All of the baby clothing and diapers were made with the most skilled fingers and they were like wearing soft fluffy clouds. The toys, oh the toys came to life in the eyes of children; and how their imaginations sparkled.

For years the village of Madurodam remained the best kept secret of the Netherlands, until a few talented and inspired young mothers decided it was time to share some of their magic with the world beyond their quaint little village. The gnomes and fairy’s helped create a window through the universe so the mothers could reach other mothers without a worry of time or space. Their unique handcrafted items could be shared with all, and the supply was never ending.
