Welcome to Hillcountry Dollmaker!

My name is Joyce and I am a homschooling mother of 4. I started making dolls for my children 11 years ago because I wanted an alternative to mass produced toys. And now I love to make them for other children (and adults) and hope they are a blessing and a friend like they are to my own children. Check out my ebay feedback at http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=hatoj&ssPageName=VIP.Feedback:3.us We live out in the beautiful hillcountry of central Texas, near Austin, where we garden and raise sheep and take care of all the stray animals that just seem to show up.

Each of my dolls is handmade by me (and soon my children will be helping - they can't wait for their dollmaking lessons every day!) I use all natural materials and most of the stuffing is from my Rambouillet sheep Flower who is soon to have a husband named Rocky! (I am so excited! - He's a sweet bottle raised orphan and Flower has been so lonely!) Each doll has his her own personality - I follow the requests for hair color and skin tone -but somehow the dolls come out with their own distinct looks. Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you come back soon. I plan to add more dolls and doll things and I am working on designs for some animal creatures.

Have a Blessed Day!!

Joyce
