I am Jen, designer behind Three Pears. I started Three Pears with one idea, to work through my giant stash of gorgeous fabrics. As I work daily to become more environmentally responsible it was bugging me that I had so much lovely possibility languishing in the basement. I kept wondering what I could do to make that fabric into something useful to someone.
It was also bugging me that I inevitably forgot my reusable bags every week when I went to the grocery store. Then I realized I would be more likely to remember if those bags were a fun and functional fashion statement instead of advertising for whatever company I bought the bag from. A lightbulb went on and I began working on a bag pattern that could comfortably hold the groceries needed by a family with three young kids (who drink and incredible amount of milk!) but wouldn't take up so much room that they would constantly be in the way in the car or at home. Soon the Three Pears bag was born!
Other than Three Pears, I am also mom to three kids ages 5, 2 and 1. My days are filled with sloppy kisses, baby giggles and the sound of tiny feet chasing each other. I have been married to Greg, my wonderful and patient husband for almost 7 years. We make our house a home in Littleton, Colorado. I am also a full time nursing student, but am gratefully enjoying my last summer at home with my babies before graduating in December 2009.
